If you decide you need to get away from the vacationers at Maspalomas, head for the seclusion of Montaña de Arena.
Although close to Maspalomas, it is hidden away down a track from the GC 500 road, between Maspalomas and Arguineguin.
This secluded, thin strip of sand below an enormous dune is very popular with the locals and with nudists.
Because the beach has no facilities, you will need to bring your own lounger.
However, you will not readily forget the experience of sitting on the dune at high tide.
